Our films don’t end when the credits roll. The women in them are still fighting, and here’s how you can stand with them.

Tigray: The War the World Is Ignoring, and the Women It’s Destroying
In the 2020 to 2022 war in Tigray, sexual violence was widespread. A 2025 Tigrayan inquiry found that more than 280,000 of the women and girls it reached had suffered sexual violence.
On 23 September 2026 the fighting returned, and EASE, a Tigrayan organisation supporting survivors, is receiving credible reports of sexual violence against women and girls again.
Three things you can do today.
Donate to EASE
Eight one-stop centres in Tigray care for survivors of sexual violence: medical care, psychological support and legal help in one place. EASE supports them with medicines, training and support for health workers. Right now, your donation funds psychotropic medication for the centres and transport so volunteer doctors and nurses can reach the wounded in Mekelle. Around £1,400 keeps three vehicles running for two weeks.
Write to your representative
It takes two minutes. Copy the letter below, add your name, and send it to your MP, MEP, member of Congress or equivalent. In the UK, go to WriteToThem.com and enter your postcode.
“Dear (Representative), I am your constituent and I am writing because credible reports of sexual violence against women and girls are emerging from Tigray since fighting resumed on 23 September 2026. I ask you to urge (the Government / the Foreign Secretary / the Secretary of State) to publicly name and condemn conflict-related sexual violence by any party, fund care for survivors, press for humanitarian access, and ensure any peace agreement includes accountability for sexual violence. Thank you. (Your name and address)”
